Cloud computing refers to the usage of remote or third party servers hosted on the internet to deliver and process data to local servers.

Cloud computing is not a new technology, it has been around since the 1960s. However, there are new features that were introduced making it more popular, these include:

The three major cloud service models include: Software as a Service,Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service.

Most cloud computing services are offered as subscriptions to customers. Pay-as-yiy-grow model is also offered for businesses to scale resources based on demand.
